Having been involved in the stone industry twenty-four years, starting as an apprentice stone cutter and working his way up to journeyman carver, Brian Hooks saw the need for individual attention to the smaller more intricate jobs. He started Phoenix Carved Stone in 1991 with this in mind; a smaller shop providing stonework of the highest quality for projects of a human scale, where the stone will be within reach and not just seen from the street, two or three stories up in the air.
